Who we are
KnitKnote is an independent app run by a family in Spain. Contact: hello@knitknote.com.
What we store
Your account: email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
Your notebook: projects, gauge swatches, calculations, counters, notes and the photos you add, plus your unit preference, whether you are a Founder, when you joined, and whether you asked to hear about the iPhone/Android app.
Usage statistics: simple events such as "opened the app today", "created a project", "used a calculator", "clicked the Pro interest button". They never include the contents of your projects. On the public calculator pages these events are anonymous. When you are signed in, they are linked to your account. Some of them (opening the app, counter taps, calculator use) are kept to once a day by a small marker in your browser's local storage.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). The site is served by Vercel. Sign-up and password emails are sent through Resend. These providers process data only to run KnitKnote.
What we don't do
No ads, no advertising trackers, no selling or sharing your data. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in; the once-a-day marker above holds no identifier.
Your rights
Write to hello@knitknote.com to get a copy of your data or to delete your account and everything in it. We do it within 30 days. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
